La Reine de Pommard at Anne Sophie Pic’s Le Normandie: An Evening with Domaine Parent mature wines (Nov 26th)

Wine Garage has spent over a decade cultivating and curating wines from around the world, from regions well known and clandestine, but what always sits as a top priority for us is finding wines from independent producers that standout amongst the rest. In a region like Burgundy, this can be a tall order – famous estates and Crus with hundreds if not thousands of years of historical weight command attention from wine lovers, critics, and collectors around the world – yet, we have found and stuck with producers that for us make a region so beloved by so many even more special. At the top of this field, we find the wines of the inimitable Anne Parent of the eponymous Domaine Parent based in Pommard within the Côtes de Beaune.

Parent’s wines have brought reputation and prowess to a part of Burgundy that was not so long ago given less prescience and patience its wines and producers deserve. Truly the “Queen of Pommard” with wines spanning appellations throughout the lower half of the Côte d’Or. The estate, now helmed by Constance Fages-Parent, is in a place of perpetual progress and thus we are so excited to welcome her to Bangkok come this November. And where better to welcome the Parent family than at the legendary Anne Sophie Pic’s Le Normandie at the Mandarin Oriental on the evening of November 26th at 7pm.

In collaboration with this Bangkok institution of hospitality, the Mandarin Oriental, these two icons of French gastronomy and wine have created a menu and wine pairing for the ages spanning mature and maturing bottles from the Domaine from the last three decades including pours from rare bottles such as their whites and Magnums. And of course, the evening commences with vintage champagne to celebrate the momentous occasion.
