Join us at El Mercado Grocery Pai Sing To for a casual get together to explore 10 European cheeses selected from the 5 different cheese types Saturday Mar 23rd. Each freshly sliced portion is paired with a taste of wine selected from France, Spain or Portugal, including a sparkling, a few whites, reds and a sweet. The cheese specialist will offer a taste at thb 99 net, or pick the set of five for thb 450. If you are out to get the most out of this experience purchase the entire offer at thb 800.

This diverse selection will cover five delicious categories of cheeses such as: Goat’s milk, soft cheeses, mountain & alpine, blue cheese, and of course the delightfully pungent washed rind cheeses with lots of character. Alongside this, each category will have a selection of wines that can be found to pair and contrast with all of these lovely fresh, fragrant, floral, and sometimes funky flavors

Goat Cheeses will be paired with an idyllic crisp and grassy Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire’s Domaine Berthier for the white, and a decadent and structured red of Toro, Spain from Dehesa La Granja for the red.
Soft Cheeses such like Brie will find an accompaniment in the form of a bubbly brut of Cremant du Jura from Frederic Lornet, along with an elegant and savory sans-soufre Malbec from one of our favorite producers in the Cahors, Chateau du Cedre
The Mountainous cheeses, fairing well with both coastal and alpine wines will be paired with Cote 45 Ube Miraflores, an oxidative Palomino from Andalusia, Spain, and the local Poulsard from Domaine des Carlines in the Jura.
The rich, strong, and character driven cheeses will find themselves paired with a creamy Chardonnay of Limoux, France from Domaine Altugnac as well as a lush, ripe, and savory Verdejo from Belondrade y Lurton in Rueda, Spain.
Finally, the blues, in all their moldy glory will be paired with complex sweet wine like Cabidos St Clement from a Thai winemaker based in the Southwest of France, along with a lovely offering of a spiced and earthy red blend from Portuguese producer Quinta Montalto.
