We often find that no matter where you are from in the world or what you choose to celebrate, there’s always a delightful common denominator in the indulgence of food and drink. So for the end of November, before December’s holidays, get-togethers, and gatherings arrive in full swing, we have a few food-centric events focusing on the flavors of fall and winter accompanied by the wines that suit them best.
In the US, November is most notably signified by Thanksgiving, a holiday whose secular nature has it allowed to become a staple holiday for families to gather and feast. Traditionally, the Thanksgiving meal is comprised of roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and the like, but as the nature of the holiday has grown, expanded and been reinterpreted by the American diaspora, we know see all sorts of imaginative flavor combinations gracing our Thanksgiving spreads.

This coming week on Thursday November 23rd, our friends at Quince will be crafting up their own signature spread of their take on household Thanksgiving favorites. These reimaginations of classic flavors will be paired with bottles made by some of our favorite American winemakers from both Oregon and California, including the recently acclaimed ‘Roman’ Zinfandel from the folks over at Marietta Cellars in Sonoma County. Please find the selection of wines available for the evening listed below along with special vermouth cocktails.:
Kelley Fox Vermouth 2020, Oregon – a winterized blend of pinot noir, brandy and botanicals. To be enjoyed as a negroni, americano, or simply neat
Salem Wine Co. Chardonnay 2020, Oregon – Biodynamic Chardonnay grown on signature iron-rich jory soils, a heady white wine from the hills
Sandhi Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2020, California – Single varietal sourced from 6 different vineyards throughout Santa Barbara; elegant, saline, and floral
Marietta Cellars OVR NV, California – A yearly sustained blend of table-suited reds with depth, character, and texture; Mostly Zin
Marietta Cellar Roman 2020, California – A brilliant rendition of an American viticultural classic, overdelivering on the varietal with poise and structure.
