Christoph harvests the grapes from terraced vineyards around Hollenburg, located at 250 – 300 meters altitude. Spontaneous fermentation and 100% maturation in big oak cask gives this smoky and spicy Gruner Veltliner lots of finesse and drinking pleasure at a very moderate alcohol content. Pairs excellently with salad dishes, chicken and pasta. NO SULPHUR WINE.

Serve at 10°C; Enjoyable now and structured enough for laying down for 4-5 years; 12.5% ABV

25-year old Christoph Hoch has more than 370 years of winemaking in his veins. After training at renowned wineries in Austria and Italy he went home to Kremstal and focus on the expression of the Hollenburger Konglomerat, a special soil which is very rich in chalk.His work in the vineyard follows bio-dynamic principles in the vineyards and will be certified Demeter. The dash after the vintage specifies the different barrels from other vintages which went into the final blend.
