Cotes du Rhone
Additional Information
This family domaine is over 150 years old and tended to sell much of their production to negociants such as Marcel Guigal. Unlike most producers in Chateauneuf du Pape, the staunch traditionalist makes only one red wine from ‘cooler’ north facing vineyards of the appellation. They are aromatic with good ageability and a Burgundian stylistic, somewhat contrary to the many soft, sweet and fat renditions made for the American and Asian markets. “Charvin may indeed produce the Richebourg of Chateauneuf du Pape.” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
